Pond Supplies Required
Basic supplies required for liner pond include:
- 45 mil EPDM liner
- Two-sided liner seaming tape
- Landscaping foam, to positions and affix rocks and decorative block
- Liner underlay, to protect the liner
- A pond pump (see “Choosing the Correct Pond Pump” section)
- Pond filter (see “Pond Filtration” Section)
- Non-kind pond tubing
- Hose clamps
- Digging equipment
- Screwdriver
EPDM liner is the preferred pond liner of choice because, compared to PVC liner, it is UV resistant and can last for 20+ years without decomposing. PVC liner, on the other hand, usually decomposes after 5-10 years. When choosing liner types, EPDM is recommended because pond liner is a headache to replace, after it has already been installed.
